Pretension

Pretension is a CS:GO map that I created from December 2016 till February 2017. It is for the defuse gamemode and it was inspired by de_inferno. It contains a mix of buildings and retains a very simple layout to make it easy for players to navigate to the two sites.

The "A-site" is similar to Cobblestones B-site in that it is situated around a statue feature.

The middle of the map was designed to have the more enclosed passage (seen on the left) and the large open area around the fountain. The large tower can be seen all over the map and it acts as a focal point to help players orient themselves.

B-site had more of an industrial theme with two passage for the "t-side" to enter and a large area at the back to give the CTs a lot of room to manoeuvre.

The map contained a lot of different floor heights to make it more interesting. Clipped stairs where mostly used to make movement smooth.
